Emily Schwarting is a native of Syracuse, New York. She began her training at Center of Ballet and Dance Arts directed by Deborah Boughton. There she performed in various classical ballets such as Raymonda, Stars and Strips, Pas De Quatre, Coppelia, Paquita. She was also able to perform in The Nutcracker with North Carolina School of the Arts. Ms. Schwarting then continued to Mercyhurst University under the direction of Tauna Hunter where she received a B.A. in Dance and a minor in biology. She performed with The Mercyhust dancers in various genres including the classical ballet Mid Summers Night Dream. At Mercyhurst she was able to work with world renowned choreographer. Rick McCullough. Ms. Schwarting has attended Hofstra, NYSSSA, and Boston Ballet summer dance intensives. She has studied with master teachers which include such notables as Paul Taylor Dance Company: Taylor II, Les Ballet Jazz De Montréal, Jon Lehrer, Jin Xing, and Trevor Stones. In addition to ballet, she is trained in modern, contemporary, jazz, Broadway jazz, tap and hip-hop. She is currently a Cleveland Cavalier Girl, Dancing Wheels Company member, and dance teacher at Cleveland Ballet Conservatory. Through her experiences, Ms. Schwarting aspires to be a leader in the dance field in and outside of the studio.
